Aircraft Hardware West in partnership with Richco Plastics is pleased to announce the successful design, manufacturing, and delivery of military fasteners to the aerospace marketplace. The collaborative venture began in 2009 when Aircraft Hardware West engineers joined the Richco development team to develop the initial stages for product design and development of fasteners used by AHW customers. Richco has been manufacturing and designing the world’s most comprehensive and innovative array of engineered component solutions since 1954, specializing in fasteners, circuit board hardware, wire routing products, cable ties, clips, clamps, fiber optics, and telecommunication accessories among other products.
AHW identified Richco as a logical source to make products supplied by AHW, based on its current design and production capability. Richco first built article test pieces to meet all requirements for customer approval, including the Department of Defense. Next, with the successful approval of these new products, the manufacturing process began and the first production runs have now been delivered. These products expand on the existing wide variety of products currently offered by AHW and attest to this company’s ability to not only supply aircraft hardware, but to distinguish itself as an engineering company offering a full line of services including design and development of new products.
