Aircraft Hardware West is proud to announce that it has entered into a four year agreement to supply and manage hardware for Telair International. Telair, a division of Teleflex, builds mechanical cargo systems that help automate the loading and storage of cargo on a variety of aircrafts. Telair operates around the world with offices in the US, Europe, and Asia. This agreement includes a vendor managed inventory (VMI) program for all hardware used by Telair in addition to a tool maintenance program to support production lines.
Aircraft Hardware West specializes in inventory management allowing Telair to focus on what they do best; manufacturing air cargo containers and systems for major freight and commercial airlines including UPS, FedEx, KLM, and American. Krista Ioffrida, Operations Manager of Aircraft Hardware West, says, "The partnership we share with Telair is built on trust, reliability, and service. Our goal is to grow as strategic business partners in order to enhance productivity and customer service for Telair." The VMI program Aircraft Hardware West has implemented at Telair’s facility is tailored around accurately stocking material for manufacturing and ease of use for shop personnel. Using bin shelving units, Aircraft Hardware West has created an organized stocking environment that is closely monitored and maintained to maximum efficiency.
Krista Ioffrida says, "We are excited to see such positive responses from manufacturing personnel at Telair. My staff and I enjoy working closely with Telair and take pride in providing friendly and valuably service to all who work for them. It’s another way we can show our appreciation for important customers such as Telair."
